Located in beautiful Washington County Maine, our community is a great place to live, work and play. On this site you will find a variety of resources intended to help you enjoy our area to the fullest.
What we have accomplished so far…
Last October, we broke ground and removed the old stairwell at the back of the building to allow for the new ADA entrance. Key drainage problems had to be addressed with excavation and installation of a concrete footer and a ground water drain, and a unforeseen electrical issue was remedied. The downstairs bathroom has been renovated to meet ADA standards and the new stairwell and entrance construction is underway.
With the community’s support, we are getting closer to our goal of creating an accessible community center for all area residents with a special eye on our seniors. Unfortunately, we have a ways to go including the installation of interior and exterior doors, the completion of a cover for the new ADA entrance, and rebuilding of the handicapped ramp. We hope to have the center completed for use in this spring!

Did You Realize We Offer A Convenient Electric Car Charging Station?
There are two car chargers at the Danforth Town Office, on 18 Central Street. They’re offered through a co-operative program with Efficiency Maine, promoting alternative energy. Great news for travelers!
